During "Another Politics School" organized by @sislibelediye, a fact-checking workshop was held.
teyit.org Education Programs Officer, esteemed Esra Özgür, conveyed the necessary strategies for recognizing misinformation encountered on social media and other digital platforms. Participants learned the tips to consider when evaluating the reliability of information sources.
The workshop also covered the focal points of fact-checkers in the processes of news and information verification. By discussing the methods and criteria used in content analysis, information was exchanged on the frequently encountered problematic content types.
Emphasizing the necessity of critically evaluating digital content, methods, and practical applications that can be used to verify suspicious information were shared.
